About

SootS is an online and annual print literary journal. Our mission is to publish authors from the southern states who write stories outside of the southern tradition. While we lean towards the literary style, we are interested in seeing writers who can push the boundaries of genre. We want strong stories where character development and plot work seamlessly. Show us the world through a new lens. We want to be surprised, informed, entertained, but most of all we want to feel the complexities of life through your character's experiences. Make us laugh, cry, get angry, and hope for a better tomorrow.
