About

Is it a duck? Or a bunny? Our Angie tilts her head to the left and sees a snail. We’ve always seen things differently, but now, in this era of “political bubbles,” we often can’t see past our differences long enough to have meaningful and productive conversations. And that’s a threat to democracy. One that StoryNews is intent on fighting. StoryNews is an online place where people from all walks of life can share the true personal stories that shaped their beliefs and perspectives. It’s all of us taking in the news and asking ourselves, “What does it mean to me? And why?” If we’re thoughtful, honest, and vulnerable, maybe we’ll give each other glimpses at our different worldviews—while at the same time giving ourselves greater insight into who we are and how we came to be that way. The goal? Understanding and more open, productive dialogues. The de-polarization of America. The salvation of American democracy from all those who would seek to harm it. Also: More. Pleasant. Holiday. Dinners.
