Tasavvur

About

Tasavvur is a digital magazine dedicated to South Asian speculative fiction. We have been publishing stories since our inception in 2022, featuring narratives that imagine new worlds, explore the unknown, and reimagine old ones with elements of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and everything in between.

The word Tasavvur means “imagination” or “vision,” and that’s what drives us: a love for stories that come from South Asia and its many cultures, languages, and traditions. We believe speculative fiction can reflect the real world in powerful ways, especially when told through a South Asian lens.

Important: Pitch first for nonfiction and art.
Limited Demographic: Submissions are restricted to South Asian authors and those writing about the region.
