About

In the parched sprawling landscape of Texas, the imaginative population and natural springs of Austin have made it an oasis in an unlikely state. The Austin Review offers similar respite for the weary literary traveler, wandering the wilds of a seemingly endless landscape of words. Only publishing nine stories per issue, we have a commitment to quality over quantity. At once progressive and rooted in the current literary culture, The Austin Review's selection of fiction, flash non-fiction, and analysis is a resource for good reading and critical inquiry. The Austin Review invites curiosity, community, and good taste.

Fees Notice: This project charges fees (or requires purchases) for all submissions. (Note: About 8% of magazines always charge fees.)
