The Calyx Hope Network

Fledgling Listing: This project is new and has been listed with us for less than six months.

About

Climate change is a daunting challenge. It is multi-layered, run through with greed and oppression, and leads us to a state of fear and anxiety. We see natural disasters increasing, heat rising, and oppressive governments gaining more and more power. And yet, amid all this, we see infrastructure adapting, clean energy triumphing. We see people uniting and fighting back, creating social energy grids and gaining food sovereignty. And we see the little things: a smile shared, hearty garden meals, honesty boxes. The bounty of berry harvests, and the feeling of grass underfoot. This network, this letter, journal, whichever you wish to name it (we don’t mind really), is built to spread that feeling of hope. We are here to uplift and inspire, not in spite of our hardship but because of it. We know that to have effective solutions, we must build them with our hard times in mind. We must know where we have come from, so that we can see where we are going. Then we can go there together, composting our oppressive systems along the way, and create a new home with hope in our hearts.
