The Custer-Hawk Gazette This project is believed to be defunct. (November 2007) About We want the poetry of WWII. Poems must be about some aspect of WWII, be it an event, an individual, or an emotion. Poems not specifically about WWII must have a general war theme. Poems not containing elements of either of these requirements will be rejected (no poems about Vietnam, the Revolutionary War, the Persian Gulf, etc.). It does not matter whether they are free verse or rhymed, iambic or pantun. What matters is that they are true representations of the human soul amid the tumult of war.
