The Lisbon Literary Review

Fledgling Listing: This project is new and has been listed with us for less than six months.

About

The The Lisbon Literary Review is dedicated to celebrating the art of creative writing and the transformative power of translation, emphasizing poetry.

Rooted in the cultural crossroads of Lisbon, we serve as a bridge between the English- and Portuguese-speaking literary worlds, fostering dialogue, discovery, and creative exchange. We champion voices from both sides of the Atlantic and Lusophone world, publishing original poetry and translations that illuminate the nuances of language, identity, and imagination. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant, bilingual space where creative writers, especially poets and translators, and readers come together to explore the shared rhythms and resonances of two rich literary traditions.

The Lisbon Literary Review is a project developed with the support of the Futura Foundation, a community and space for reflection based in Lisbon dedicated to promoting dialogue, knowledge and initiatives that seek to address the challenges of the future.
