About

THE PARADOX is a literary magazine which seeks to highlight that creative expression is one of the only ways to reconcile consciousness & reality. We don't believe in rules or limitations beyond interpersonal peace and awareness when it comes to creative expression. We are specifically interested in poetry & prose, as well as art & photography which illuminate and explore the contradictions of consciousness and its realm of interaction, expression, and relation.

THE PARADOX wants to be a literary oasis, dedicated to the belief that creative expression possesses a unique potency in reconciling the relationship between consciousness and reality. In this realm, rules and boundaries dissipate, as the magazine fervently rejects the limits of creative confinement. We embrace a post-structuralist and post-modernist ethos.

THE PARADOX liberates itself from binary thinking and the trap of structural linguistic philosophies. While acknowledging language's formidable capacity to mold, arrange, stratify, and subjectify, the magazine champions creative expression as a weapon of resistance—an avenue to dismantle and subvert oppressive forces. The magazine eagerly welcomes articles, personal essays, poetry, prose, as well as art and photography that venture into the passages of thought, and diligently shine a light on contradictions that exist within consciousness itself.
