The Signal House Edition

This project is on indefinite hiatus. Check their site to find out whether this is a submission and/or publication hiatus. (January 2025)

About

The Signal House Edition is the joint publishing project founded in 2020 by Kit Brookman, Melissa Chambers & Henry Martin, with Erica Gillingham as Poetry Editor. The Edition is a living document that exists at a junction in time. We are physically headquartered in London, but aim to bring together the thoughts, images and words of living artists, thinkers and makers from all continents. We publish essays, poetry, non-fiction, memoir, interviews and audio. As a currently all-white editorial team, we are committed to ongoing anti-racism education and practices, as well as platforming underrepresented voices. We believe that black lives matter, and that trans lives matter.

The editors may not respond to all submissions. After waiting 60 days, assume your submission will not be accepted.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
