The Table Review About The Table Review is an independent literary magazine based in Brooklyn, New York. Published twice yearly, each issue brings together fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and interviews—writing that is carefully made, honestly rendered, and impossible to ignore. We are writer-led and volunteer-run, committed to publishing work that stands on its own terms, from both emerging and established writers alike. The Table Review was founded on the belief that literature deserves a slower, more intimate setting. The name comes from a simple idea: stories are best shared the way meals are: across a table, among people, with time. A table is where we gather, listen, offer, and take part. We hope this publication feels the same. Each issue is a seating. Each piece, a place set with intention. We read during two periods a year, and we respond to every submission with the attention it deserves. This is a space for writers and readers who value depth over speed, voice over trend, and honesty over performance. We are committed to offering a platform for voices that are often marginalized or underrepresented, and we enthusiastically welcome work from writers of color; writers who are working class or low income; queer, transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming writers; writers with disabilities; and any writer who feels that they or their story have been underrepresented in literature.Send us your best. We're interested in work that's carefully made—writing that pays attention, that asks something of its reader, and that offers something in return. We look for pieces that feel whole, considered, and impossible to ignore, not because they shout, but because they resonate.
