About

Triage is a triennial journal publishing poetry that aligns with its triad aesthetic: quality, beauty, and truth. This is an urgent matter. We are not untroubled by the fact that we may be forced to leave behind many worthy pieces in our effort to present those poems we feel most deserve an audience. Also, we like anything involving the number three.

Poetry On Hiatus

We’re looking for poetry which, by delightful use of language, presses the reader to see through or beyond the apparent to the universal and profound. We agree with Dickinson that truth and beauty are simultaneous properties of but one substance which, in its best expression, is characterized by quality of technique and execution. We are interested in reading both formal and free verse. We don’t want anything gratuitous, kitschy, or sentimental. That probably sounds scarier than it ought to. Send us your work. We’ll tell you what we think.
