About

[wherever] is a print journal, a multi-platform media channel and the Out of Place society. travel is not a checkbox list. we travel the world and know that there are unique experiences everywhere. we assemble writing and artwork that are germane to movement, connections, transitions, and the general transience of the people, places, and things of the world. we bring global experience to the forefront through engaging stories and events that connect creative individuals so that they may revel, retreat and reflect. but that's not all! [wherever] magazine approaches the world with an expansive definition of the term travel. we are interested in pieces that originally demonstrate that if people read about one another’s experiences, they can transform the way they think about one another, other places, and their understanding of travel itself. this is achieved through long-form narratives, journalistic pieces, as well as short non-linear, reflective works. our approach is to set serious writing and playful work side by side, because that's life.
