About

Word Fountain is the literary magazine of the historic Osterhout Free Library in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. We invite both emerging and established writers to send us their previously unpublished short stories, poems, and flash fiction. We would even be interested in reading works that bridge or blur those categories. We prefer very short pieces as we seek to pack quality and variety into 50 to 60 pages, by regional, national, and global writers. We’re looking for concise writing with a strong, compelling voice.
