About

Bloodhound Books was born in 2014 as a publishing house specialising in crime and thriller fiction. In 2016 directors, Betsy Reavley and Fred Freeman opened an imprint, Bombshell Books, which focused on brilliant women’s fiction. Now, with the success of both companies growing, the directors have decided to merge Bombshell and Bloodhound Books. From January 2020 Bombshell Books will close its doors and Bloodhound will broaden the genres they publish. Every author who is currently part of Bombshell Books will be welcomed into the Bloodhound family and their books will remain in print and available as eBooks. All Bombshell contracts will stand and be carried across to Bloodhound Books. Bloodhound Books has sold millions of titles worldwide and is looking forward to a new, dynamic future. We look forward to sharing the journey with each and every one of you.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
