Blue Dot Kids Press

About

Across languages and across borders, stories are magic. Storytelling connects us to each other and to who we are. Our innate appreciation for story is part of what makes us human.

In the hands of a child, a book is a portal to infinite possibility. When a beautifully crafted story engages a child’s natural curiosity, their world expands, as does their sense of self. In this way, a colorful stack of books carried home from the library or bookstore creates ripples of connection and inquiry.

These are the types of books that Blue Dot Kids Press creates. We publish stories that connect us to each other—and to the home we call Earth.

With irrepressible hopefulness and courage, we aspire to empower the next generation of global citizens with empathy, resilience, creativity, and the shared value of nature and its stewardship.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
