(March 2024) About For years, it has been my desire to start a chapbook press that showcases unique and beautiful voices while also striving to keep my morals and values as an editor in place. So often, you see talented writers publishing with sloppy, toxic, or even abusive presses, presses that care only about prestige in the publishing and literary “communities” or, worse, are driven only by a desire to be profitable- chapbook mills that churn out 40+ titles a year and require the author to do all the heavy lifting with presales and advertising. Well, my friends, I have never been profitable in my life, but I do know good writing when I see it, and I abhor the inner workings and nepotism of the lit/pub world. You will never see me making excuses for racists, and you will never see me rubbing shoulders with sex pests, so you will never have to tell a friend that you are regretful for having published with Cherry Dress. I am here to pick a chapbook, publish that chapbook, and love you forever.
