About

What are we looking for? We started out in 2011 with a focus on horror and dark speculative fiction, but in 2013 we’d like to see submissions from across the full spectrum of speculative fiction. Send us your steampunk novel, your urban fantasy, your apocalyptic science fiction, your paranormal romance…and of course, we’re still considering horror fiction. What aren’t we looking for? We don’t want blood simply for blood’s sake. Any gore needs to be part of the story, not just there for shock value. We’re unlikely to accept splatterpunk or torture porn. We also don’t want sparkly vampires that glitter in the sun. But be original and ensure your work is of a professional standard. For a better idea of what we like, please check out some our existing titles in our store.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
Be professional, patient, and persistent.
