Flame Books This project is believed to be defunct. (August 2013) About Flame Books is an ethical company that publishes original fiction and poetry by excellent new writers, as well as reference and non-fiction titles. Through a balance of literary quality and readability our books support genuine talent, uphold literary variety, and also have wide and consistent reader appeal. Our criteria for the books we choose to publish means that we are able to take risks on unique publications and will not automatically dismiss a good book or a talented author if the work sits within an area which mainstream publishers are unlikely to consider. This doesn’t mean we don’t publish books in popular genres – many of our books are in these categories – however readers may find that our books offer something more rewarding and special.
