About

53 members set this publisher as a Favorite.

Thirty West was founded as a passion project when our editor-in-chief was an undergraduate at Temple University. Since 2015, the hand-made aspect of the chapbook has been paramount, augmenting the reading experience with common and unique materials. Every book project comes with new responsibilities and new expectations; they grow legs of their own and can go anywhere. Our award-winning authors become family from Day One and go on to expand the contemporary literary canon. From the moment you read this, Thirty West is growing alongside you and values the community at large with more than just publishing.

Voluntary Fees: This project accepts voluntary fees for "tip jar" submissions.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
