I’m looking for literary and upmarket fiction with a clear sense of ambition: novels with a distinctive voice, a strong emotional core and the potential to resonate with readers. I’m particularly drawn to work that feels original in its execution, whether through a distinctive narrative voice, unique atmosphere or setting, or singular concept.

In contemporary and upmarket fiction, I’m especially interested in character-driven novels that are emotionally precise and attentive to the complexities of modern life and the ways people and places change over time. I’m drawn to stories that explore themes such as identity and belonging, and that get underneath the skin of relationships in all their forms, romantic, familial and platonic.

In more expansive or internationally focused fiction, I’m excited by narratives that engage thoughtfully with how personal lives intersect with social, political or historical contexts and moments of wider change. I’m always keen to read work that brings a fresh perspective on place, culture or community, putting human experience and lived reality at the heart of the story.

I’m also open to speculative fiction and magical realism where these elements are grounded in character and emotional truth, as well as literary thrillers with a strong sense of atmosphere and psychological depth.

Above all, I’m looking for a confident, compelling voice and a perspective that feels both distinctive and fully realised. If you’re writing a story that feels urgent, ambitious or deeply personal, I would love to read it.
