About

Sally began her career as a bookseller in her home town of Wellington, New Zealand. She moved to Melbourne, Australia, to do a post-grad degree in publishing, and quickly realized it was the role of the author advocate that spoke to her. Her next stop was Canada, and in 2005 she started The Harding Agency, later to merge with The Cooke Agency, and then become CookeMcDermid. Her list includes speculative fiction, science fiction, fantasy, research-based non-fiction, and works that appeal to her eclectic tastes. Her clients have won numerous awards, appeared on the major international bestseller lists, and had their works translated in up to 50 languages.
