About

FIRST CONTACTS can be tricky. Even when we meet a fellow human being for the first time, the interaction can be unpredictable. And when it comes to first contact on the cosmic scale, it’s a whole other ballgame altogether! Pulpcult invites Science fiction stories of all sub-genes with the theme of ‘First Contact‘ for this anthology. It could be a great PHILOSOPHICAL SAGA where humans are visited by a super-advanced alien species with ideas, attitude and societal structures that shall put humanity’s flawed institutions to shame. It could be a HORROR STORY featuring xenophobic aliens that want to conquer or destroy, or wish to lay eggs inside humans to take over our minds and bodies. Or it could be a MYSTERY/THRILLER featuring an alien species with terrifying abilities beyond the natural or with ulterior agendas that is set to invite chaos in human lives. Or maybe you would prefer to script an inversion of a classic sci fi ADVENTURE, where an alien adopts and protects a human cosmonaut who is accidentally stranded on their planet.
