About As long as there are children in the world, there will be fairy tales. Parents will always tell their children bedtime stories and legends will continue to live on. Unsurprisingly, we are looking for something a little bit different. We are looking for fairy tales set in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian or science fiction world. You create the world. You create the fairy tale. It must be an original tale, but it should reference recognizable fairy tale tropes such as princesses, dragons (or dragon-like creatures) and have the feel of a traditional fairy tale. Stories may be happy, but they may also be more like traditional Grimm tales with shocking, morbid twists and wicked characters. Don't limit yourself to tired and traditional characters or stories. Think outside the box and remember that we put a premium on the nontraditional and unique. The criteria is rather loose here, so have fun with it. Be creative and really let your unique voice and story shine through.
