Ray Guns & Runeblades Anthology

A project of Lame Goat Press (see other related projects).

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive.

About

This is an anthology consisting of approximately 40,000 words of science fiction and 40,000 words of fantasy. I, William Wolford, will be editing the science fiction section of the anthology, and Christopher Jacobsmeyer will be editing the fantasy section. Here's the twist, though: There will be an online poll after the anthology is released to help determine who chose better overall stories, Christopher or myself. Also, if you submit to one section, you can't submit to the other. No double dipping. Here's what we're looking for out of your stories: 1-5,000 words will fill up 30,000 words of each section, then we both hope to find a piece that is approximately 10,000 words, giving us each 40,000 words. We'd like good character development, good prose, and the 10,000 word piece should redefine the word "epic." I think this anthology's going to be a ton of fun for not only the editors, but also the writers and readers.
