Story Book: Siren Songs A project of Winter Tangerine (see other related projects). Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive. About SIREN SONGS, our second Storybook, is a collection of microfiction and corresponding art dedicated to the sea and everything we cannot know about it, but find ourselves imagining. This is a space for questions: who are the women in the water? What are your charms for bringing sailors home safely? A yellowtail fish emerges: what does she say? This is a collection for exploration: take us from the rocks of the New Jersey shore to the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle; hoist the sails, build submarines, swim. We want all that is dark and dreamy, all that is seaweed green and drowned. Tell us of the slap of rain against the froth, the scrape of sand on pink feet; make us follow you, lower our heads under the water, teach us how to breathe there. We want your beautiful myths and your terrifying truths. Open the flood gates.
