Stung! A Philly Writing Contest for Humans

A project of Apiary Magazine (see other related projects).

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive.

About

This June, APIARY will launch a brand new apiarymagazine.com — a digital hive for the Philadelphia literary scene that showcases all the amazing work we’ve collected for the last 5 years! To celebrate, we’re holding a contest to choose the very first new poetry and prose pieces to appear on our revamped site. As always, we’re seeking work by Philadelphians of any age, who write in any genre. We’re seeking work that captures the spirit of our city in our time. This does not mean we only want poems about the Liberty Bell, Broad Street and soft pretzels, although you’re very welcome to mention them! Instead, we’re looking for strong, original voices that aren’t afraid to play for high stakes.

No Fees! This contest does not charge mandatory fees.
