Pine Row accepts and publishes diverse styles of poetry from poets all around the world. It also give the poet an opportunity to promote the poet's website, blog, or other publication as part of an interview that is published alongside each poem. Pine Row is interested in poetry with a voice and will publish first-time poets withthose who are more established- it is the poetry that matters more than the credentials in a bio. What we celebrate: "That you are here—that life exists, and identity; That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse." (Thank you, Walt Whitman).

Editors are people with their own set of reading biases. Do not be discouraged by a no, and take time to celebrate the yes!

No prior publication history is required for Pine Row. The poetry will stand on its own merit, so put your focus there. A long biography is not necessary, but if you have a good brag sheet, it doesn't hurt to share it.

Yes, every submission is read and considered, unless the poet withdraws it due to acceptance elsewhere. We accept simultaneous submissions, it is just the right thing to do for the poet.

Pine Row rarely makes unsolicited suggestions to change or edit accepted poetry, and it will never change or edit a submission directly without author consent. That decision is exclusively with the poet.

Yes, poetry published in Pine Row has been nominated for Pushcart Prizes. Also, books published by Pine Row have been nominated for various book awards, including the Pulitzer Prize.
