About

37 members set this magazine as a Favorite.

The history of literature is a history of passion. Since its earliest iterations – in every age, from every corner of the world – language has been used to express, examine, and explore the human heart. The Passionfruit Review is a celebration of this: an online journal committed to making a home for love poetry.
Passionfruit seeks work which engages with love in the broadest possible sense: writing which seeks love out or runs screaming from it; which delights in, is bored of, resents, yearns for, abhors, or denies love.
We want to see ‘love poetry’ thrown wide open and to stretch our understanding of this age-old genre. We therefore publish poems which are easily recognised as love poetry alongside pieces which sit less comfortably here.
Every issue is primarily devoted to poetry, although there is always space for prose, short fiction and other creative pieces.
