About

Bold Strokes Books offers a diverse collection of LesbianGayBiTransQueer general and genre fiction. BSB genre fiction includes romance, action, adventure, crime, mystery/intrigue, speculative fic (sci-fi/fantasy/horror), and erotica. BSB Victory (Lesbian) and Liberty (GBT) Editions includes literary and popular fiction as well as non-fiction that explore the LGBT experience in its many forms (contemporary, historical, saga) while telling strong human stories with universal themes. BSB Matinee Books are sharp, satisfying, quality reads focusing on passion, sexual attraction, and compelling connections in a tightly written, engaging package. With the addition of our BSB Aeros eBook division we are now able to introduce exciting new authors and expand the range of titles available to our readers in multiple electronic formats as well as hard copy versions. Our Young Adult line, BSB Soliloquy, features a protagonist aged 13-17 years in stories within all fiction genres that delve into questions of identity, gender, sexuality, self-esteem, peer relationships, ethics, and life issues. We are only interested in quality works from serious authors.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
