Opioid Epidemic Anthology

A project of Pact Press (see other related projects).

Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions (November 2017). We provide the following information as an archive.

About

The opioid epidemic is devastating and affects an ever-increasing number of individuals – those afflicted as well as those who love them, and those who spend their professional lives treating them. For many of us, however, the epidemic is conveyed through news bites and statistics; we have no real understanding of what this battle is about in human terms, for those that are struggling with addiction on a daily basis. In this next anthology, we seek to shine a light on the crisis, to illuminate the human impact by publishing the stories of those who are deeply engaged in the opioid epidemic. Net proceeds from the sale of this anthology will benefit a nonprofit providing significant aid to individuals and families afflicted by this disease. The net proceeds of the sale of this anthology will benefit Shatterproof - the NY-based non-profit that seeks to alleviate and treat the suffering of those suffering from addiction.
