We Refugees Anthology A project of Pact Press (see other related projects). Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions (April 2018). We provide the following information as an archive. About The anthology will amplify the voices of displaced people and bring their experiences to the awareness of readers. We also welcome submissions from people working or interacting closely with refugees and other displaced people. Our aim is to provide insights into the lives of the displaced, insights that are often ignored in contemporary media accounts of the global refugee crisis. Rather than present a vision of crisis, we would like to present a vision of hope and energy, to celebrate the resilience of people who have been forced to leave their homes and seek new ones. Contributions that may discomfort or challenge readers, presenting the experience of displacement in a manner at odds with more typical representations, will be readily considered. Preference will be given to submissions that may motivate readers to engage further with the issue of displacement, or that incorporate ways for readers to act constructively on behalf of displaced people.
