About

We are governed by our imperative to support and sustain the literary efforts of the authors we work with. With this in mind we take on few new clients a year, but are always interested in discovering new talent within the genre of literary fiction, contemporary fiction, historical fiction, memoirs, short story collections, and poetry. Unlike many publishing houses we accept manuscripts directly from the authors, without requiring an intervening literary agent. We believe not only in maintaining a degree of accessibility and open lines of communication between our staff editors and our authors, but we also desire to maximize the royalties received by our authors. Our mandate is to seek, support, encourage, and disseminate literary talent that might otherwise remain unread for lack of publishing opportunity. Despite the dramatic upheavals within the publishing industry over the past few years, the traditional route still remains an arduous one for the new writer. We, at Regal House Publishing, are hoping to facilitate that process for talented writers whether they are first-time novelists or veteran authors.

Before Submitting

We cannot guarantee that the information on this page is correct. It is not unusual for publications to evolve or close without notice. We do our best to keep up, but it isn't always possible. Duotrope listings do not imply endorsement or recommendation of the project being listed. Before submitting, you should use your own judgment to determine whether the project meets your standards.

  • Always read the full guidelines provided by the publisher.
  • Try to read at least one previous publication to get a better idea of what the editor would like to see.
  • Unless the publisher's guidelines state otherwise, always use industry standard manuscript formatting.
  • For book publishers, it is standard to submit a cover letter, synopsis, and sample instead of the full manuscript. Do this unless otherwise instructed.
  • Be professional, patient, and persistent.
