Editor Interview: Moss Trill

Describe what you publish in 25 characters or less.

Innovative/Visual Poetry

What sets your publication apart from others that publish similar material?

We publish on a rolling basis, and we only publish one poem per poet.

What is the best advice you can give people who are considering submitting work to your publication?

Read widely in innovative poetry and read the work in Moss Trill.

Describe the ideal submission.

The ideal submission is something that plays with language in interesting ways.

What do submitters most often get wrong about your submissions process?

They submit work that is religious, sexist, or too conservative.

How much do you want to know about the person submitting to you?

I only look at the poems submitted. If I accept something, then I look at the bio.

How much do you edit an accepted piece prior to publication?

I do not edit a piece unless I see something glaring. I will show the author a preview to fix anything before the published version goes live.
