4th Floor Chapbook Series A project of The Head & the Hand Press (see other related projects). Permanently Closed: This project is permanently closed to submissions. We provide the following information as an archive. About As a team of book nerds whose love of reading truly began in high school, we at The Head & The Hand Press are so excited to partner with the Science Leadership Academy on the 4th Floor Chapbook Series, which is accepting young adult fiction and poetry submissions to be published and displayed in a custom-built vending machine at the SLA this fall. We think of vending machines as a logical home for chapbooks (the literary equivalent of a snack), and we think the Science Leadership Academy is the perfect home for our new series. We are seeking YA fiction stories or collections of poems. All subjects and genres are welcome. We will include two of our chapbook stories and/or poetry collections in The Head & The Hand Press’s Community Supported Publishing bi-annual “harvest” sent to members who want to sample the fruits of press in a way that’s healthy for independent publishers and book lovers alike.
