I'm fond of the vision found within publications such as Gutter Eloquence, Counterexample Poetics, The Ofi Press, Edge-Lit and Other Art Things, among others that my mind cannot pull from the void at this moment.

Currently: I want to have illegitimate literary-love-children with lawrence ferlinghetti, paul dutton, ee cummings, kurt vonnegut, richard brautigan, chuck palahniuk, raymond carver, ken kesey, shya scanlon, george saunders, and chester pane.

The Vein not only diagnoses but also treats specific blood-borne infectious diseases.

Be human, which means, be animal.

The ideal submission shares my love affair with words and the syntactical sensual satisfaction they create when combined with the right resources under proper lighting in serving sizes proportionate to the average person's wide-open heart-hole.

I like to receive short, effective bios (the more creatively striking, the better). Lists of previous publication credits are bologna and I'm a vegetarian that steers away from processed foods.

Within the first few paragraphs, sometimes even the first few lines, I can usually tell if a piece is not meant for The Vein. However, some submissions give me one hell of a mindache with regards to the decision process. I read them repeatedly and even lose sleep before a decision is made.
