Poetry and Visual Art

There are so many! To start: Thrush, Cherry Tree, Two Peach, Gulf Stream, New England Review, Bennington Review, and Poet's Country are beautiful literary journals.

We feature seven poets three times a year in the months of October, January and April. Our editors work hard to order the poems to create a meaningful conversation between the work, like a little online chapbook of sorts. The poems are paired with visual art from emerging and established artists. We also feature one interview with a someone working in a creative field. In the past we have featured novelists, actors, and poets.

Read the issue to get a feel for the poetry we publish. But also, we are open to all kinds of poetry and give thoughtful consideration to every poem we receive in our submissions pile.

It's always exciting to read about where the poets submitting to our journal are from and how they live their own unique poetry lives, how poetry has fit into their lives, whether it be by publishing, MFA, no MFA, coming to poetry later in life, coming to poetry early in life, the places that have influenced their writing, what they do for a living, etc.

All of the editors meet together and read the piece out loud multiple times. We all offer feedback and the final vote doesn't need to be unanimous because our editors each have different tastes. It's important to honor what moves us individually as much as collectively.

We are definitely planning to nominate work for awards in the near future!
