We are a magazine keen to promote diversity of form and content. Throughout our short history we have published poems from various cultures and countries, and in many different forms, including dialect poems and translations. Amongst the poems we have published recently there is a translations of an ancient Tamil hymn, a gap-year experience in a modern Russian Town, a prose poem, a tribute to the legendary Mrs Beeton and a meditation ‘On Sleep'. In Issue 5 we were proud to have included the first ever publication of Edwin Morgan’s early verse translation of Gilgamesh.Linda Black, Ms on 30 July 2012What do submitters most often get wrong about your submissions process?Not much - there is only the occasional poem which is too short - and we only accept 2 poems per submissionLinda Black, co-editor on 26 July 2012How much do you want to know about the person submitting to you?Initially we do not need to know anything - if the poem is accepted we ask for an introduction to the poem (of no more than 250 words) re the writing process.
