We publish paying markets for writers that are entirely original, created from interviews with editors who are actively soliciting freelance writers. Our paying markets are free to view. No registration is required at all. We also publish feature articles that focus on how to make more money writing. There are countless publications that teach writers how to write. We teach them how to SELL their writing.

This is common advice but review past articles and freelance success stories to ensure we haven't recently covered a particular topic. Send us ideas that are creative and entirely unique.

We only accept query letters (no on-spec submissions). Please do not send an email that says, "Can I write for you? What do you need?" Review our guidelines before contacting us. Make sure your query is typo-free and never, ever write to us in abbreviated texting format (i.e. "Can i write 4 u?").

We receive countless submissions riddles with misspelled words, missing capitalization, missing punctuation, and more. We also receive queries daily on topics we are not interested in. For example, why would a publication for writers and authors be interested in articles on dog warts, high cholesterol in squirrel meat, and the growing number of STDs in the senior population?

We are far more concerned about your article idea and the quality of your writing than we are about your past writing credits and your personal life.

We only accept queries. We do not open articles submitted on-spec.

We judge a writer's competency based on their query letter. If it's is organized, error-free, and pitches a great idea, it's highly doubtful the final article will be rejected. That's why we still pay for articles that are later rejected (which is very, very rare). We pay a 100% kill fee.

We have never published an article that didn't need a bit of tweaking. Some articles require more extensive editing but most of our writers submit clean work.

"Awards" primarily benefit the firm hosting those awards via submission fees so we do not participate in awards programs.
