One that follows the guidelines and joins the conversation of defining Judaism

What do submitters most often get wrong about your submissions process?

Not paying close attention to the guidelines

How much do you want to know about the person submitting to you?

Not much--let the work speak for itself (however, make sure to indicate genre of submission please!)

If you publish writing, how much of a piece do you read before making the decision to reject it?

If I'm not captured in the first few lines, it's unlikely I'll finish a piece

What additional evaluations, if any, does a piece go through before it is accepted?

Does it have something to say?
Is it original?
Do I like it?

What is a day in the life of an editor like for you?

There is a lot of reading and e-mails involved.

How much do you edit an accepted piece prior to publication?

Rarely do we edit - and when we do, we try to keep it as minimal as possible. All pieces submitted should be publication ready.
