A short list of your recent publication credits will suffice, along with a brief cover letter. No cat bios.

We always read the entire piece, but a few lines or paragraphs is usually enough to tell if it's the right fit for B O D Y.

We try to fit new work in with the patterns of publication, ie., fiction on Sundays, etc. and, as well, we to maintain a certain balance of genres (which is not to say we present equal amounts of each; we don't) in order to maintain a diversity of reading. However, if we love a piece of work we will make a place for it, no question.

Because we publish on a rolling basis, we are always reading submissions. In terms of deciding on work, we have a system of votes that keeps things moving smoothly. Our submission manager allows us to vote and comment on work online, which allows us to collaborate remotely. Once a week we meet in person to discuss specific submissions and the direction of the publication as a whole.
