Q: What sets your publication apart from others that publish similar material?
A: Non-profit, Blue Ridge Mountains and donates to a women's shelter in SW Virginia yearly. 44 years old, was borne out of writing workshops for abused women.
Q: What is the best advice you can give people who are considering submitting work to your publication?
A: Get one of our journals and review it for yourself. We encourage first-time writers and artists as well as established writers and artists.

A: A poem or piece of art that has been thoroughly edited and vetted.
Q: What do submitters most often get wrong about your submissions process?
A: They miss the theme or submit a piece that is not polished

A: no
Q: If you publish writing, how much of a piece do you read before making the decision to reject it?
A: yes
Q: What additional evaluations, if any, does a piece go through before it is accepted?
A: We have a team of editors reviewing the work.
Q: What is a day in the life of an editor like for you?
A: Sorting through the submissions and sending them to appropriate editors. The editors vote on the pieces to come to a consensus of what will go in the next journal.
Q: How important do you feel it is for publishers to embrace modern technologies?
A: We are experiencing growing pains with an extraordinary amount of submissions. I am currently looking at services that can help with the process.
Q: How much do you edit an accepted piece prior to publication?
A: We do basic proofreading and will suggest some editing to the writers.
