Since we use footnotes we do not expect them to use author/date style.Carolyn Brewer, Editor-in-chief on 17 May 2025How much do you want to know about the person submitting to you?Do not care about cover letters - just need a short paragraph of bio data and a photo.Carolyn Brewer, Editor-in-chief on 17 May 2025If you publish writing, how much of a piece do you read before making the decision to reject it?I personally do not read every piece initially - just enough to be able to choose appropriate referees. Only after getting the referees reports (at least two per paper) is the decision made to publish or reject.Carolyn Brewer, Editor-in-chief on 17 May 2025What additional evaluations, if any, does a piece go through before it is accepted?Intersections is a peer reviewed journal. We use a double blind referee process where neither the author nor the referee are aware of the other's identity. As far as possible all papers will be sent to universities other that of the contributor.Carolyn Brewer, Editor-in-chief on 17 May 2025How much do you edit an accepted piece prior to publication?I copyedit each piece of writing that is accepted for publication. Within this process, I work closely with the author and together we bring the paper up to Intersections high standards.
