I don't really have time to read other publications as we are so busy with our own projects

We tend to take on new and unestablished writers with a fresh new feel to the writing as well as established writers. We are also open to far out sci fi fantasy short stories, poetry and novels.

Always query first to ensure our submission guidelines haven't changed, and let us know the genre, page count of what you plan to submit and of course a cover letter with bio/curriculum

It adheres tightly to the guidelines we have. It has a cover letter and author profile with any credentials and curriculum attached AND most importantly the ideal submission will be a FINAL fully edited mss as we do not want to do our proofing and editing and then find out the author has changes they want to make other than typos or spelling errors.

We ask for FULLY edited and final mss but so many times we receive obviously poorly edited or non edited mss and we find this is usually the reason we pass on some potentially good mss. If the author doesn't believe in their work enough to have it in its finest final format, then the rest of the process will be gruelling an probably unsuccessful, so we just pass if it is a poorly presented submission.

I read beginning middle and end of submissions and then pretty much know if we would like to publish it or not.

It is passed to an assistant editor for a quick perusal after I make my decision..... sort of a check and balance system within.

Once we have accepted a mss for publication, the process begins..... we first go through the mss for punctuation and grammar. and redundancies. We get rid of too many similar simple happenings like picking up a cup of coffee. pouring a cup of coffee; putting the mug down etc. etc. Too many of these bores the reader so we revamp to ensure they are not overused in the mss. A day in the life? Can't describe it as all the days have a feel of their own..

We edit and redact to the benefit of the mss which is the ultimate benefit to the reader. Yes, we ALWAYS get final edit approval from the author and at that point we make any further additions or corrections requested by the author.
