Publications that cater to a cause or niche like: National Geographic, On Mission, PawPrints, Zoetrope, Gourmet (when it was in circulation)

The focus is always on moms - published or not. Unpublished writers are especially encouraged to submit so we can help provide a springboard or platform for them within a supportive, encouraging network. The majority of writers and contributors are everyday moms, all ages, struggling just to be heard. So we provide the platform to allow the Voice of Everyday Moms to be heard. Artists who are willing to illustrate our stories, or provide artwork, are also always welcome.

We don't seek professional writers, parenting experts or opinions. We focus solely on the everyday mom who needs a place to rant, laugh, cry, share, encourage, etc.

Just be real and share your story about motherhood and being a mom - whether you're a teen mom, a first time mom, a grandmom, a middle-aged mom, a working mom, a stay-at-home mom. We don't accept material that attempts to direct or tell other moms how to parent and no politics. And PLEASE, proofread your work before submitting.

Something that moves us to laugh, cry, or feel wildly emotional about! Something that we know will connect with everyday moms across the board.

Nothing, really. Just be sure to proofread your work and if sending photos, be sure to send captions - names, location, dates, etc.

Most moms communicate well, so there is nothing more we seek when someone is contacting us. We don't need a list of previous publications unless they would like it included in their bio if we publish their work.

The first paragraph or two pretty much says whether the piece is right or not for our publication. That said, every submission is read to the end.

As a full-time teacher and single parent the process is divvied up between very early morning, weekends and holidays. Other moms are also willing to help with copy-editing and proofing when their schedules allow.

The author should send error-free work. There are occasions where the story is so good that substantive editing will be provided. All contributors do get to proof their work before we publish.

I would love to nominate our work because it is the work of everyday moms that we publish. I would like more people to know about us and help us continue to grow, providing a strong, supportive platform for struggling moms of all ages across the globe, actually. We have contributors nationwide, across the borders and even overseas. Thank you for sharing our work here.
