We have zero interest in cover letters or previous publication credits. Impress us with your work, not your CV.

We try to give every piece a fair shake, but if it isn't hitting within the first paragraph or stanza we'll likely pass on it.

If we like it, we like it.

We review submissions in batches on a weekly basis. Promising submissions get added to a sort list for publication, which we use to plan our weekday posts. Each shortlisted piece will be reviewed more thoroughly before publication, and this is the final review stage before acceptance/rejection.

We do very little editing, typically preserving the piece as the author submitted it. We will occasionally make edits after publication if authors find mistakes they want to correct, though we'd much prefer all submissions to be proofread before they make it to us.
