One of the biggest things that makes Wailing & Gnashing unique is that we aim to publish work across a variety of skill levels. We've got pushcart prize winners published alongside high school sophomores and local crust punks. In addition, because we are entirely self funded we get away with publishing edgier work other publisher might not touch.

We want work that screamed its way out of you. We're looking for poetry that makes blood boil and bones quake. We want the raw and unfiltered and the refined and polished, More than anything, we want the work that makes us feel loud.

We often have stuff sent straight to our gmail instead of using our submission form. There's only one rule guys! Don't skip the line!

We want to know what you want to tell us. In cover letters, we love to hear a little about what made this poem happen. In bio's, load them with all that info that makes us feel cool by association.

We always read all three poems from top to bottom. We respect your work. We're going to read it, even if we don't accept it.

We have a team of three editors go over your work before selecting what we want as a collective panel.

A tall cup of coffee, a pile of vegan snack food, and the sounds of whatever wild event is happening in the back of our home venue.
